Interview with GR Holton
We have author GR Holton here today talking about himself and his writing. Drop a comment below and be eligible to win a signed copy of all three of his books!
WR: Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you write? Why?
G: Well I am 50 years old and happily married to my soul mate Charlotte. I have 3 children and four step children. I am also the proudest Grandpa Fuzzy of four beautiful little granddaughters. I am a multi-genre writer that writes whatever comes to mind, but mainly science fiction. I write as a therapeutic way to combat my severe Bipolar disorder. It allows my brain to escape and be in places that I have never been before.
WR: If you could be any one of your characters, who would you choose?
G: Well I would be Pothys from Dragon’s Bow. A fearless but loving Centaur that is dedicated and loyal fighter that would give his life to save another.
WR: What is your creative process like? Do you need music to write? Silence?
G: My writing is usually done at 5 – 8 hour spurts...one day I will write until I drop and the next few days won’t write a single word. Those are my marketing days and town volunteer days. I love to listen to classic rock and roll when I write. It takes me to new levels all the time. Silence may be golden, but it is not for me.
WR: What is a guilty pleasure of yours?
G: My biggest one is probably candy. Mainly black licorice.
WR: What inspires you?
G: I am motivated to see what the next weird thing I can come up with. The stories motivate me to do something completely out of the box.
WR: What is one of your worst pet peeves?
G: I hate texting! I would rather have needles in my eye than to have to text back and forth with someone. If it important enough then call me.
WR: Describe what a perfect day would be for you.
G: I would have three cups of coffee with a large omelet for breakfast. Take my laptop and sit by the ocean writing my next novel.
WR: If you could bring any fictional character to life, yours or anyone else’s, who would you pick?
G: I would have to say that I would bring Sherlock Holmes to life to help me find my darn shoes. HAHAHA. No seriously there are so many great characters out there I couldn’t choose one.
WR: If you could shape-shift, what animal would you turn into and why?
G: I would become a sea clam and live for 400 years.
WR: Where can we find you and your work around the web?
G: The best place to find all my books is on my website www.grholton.com or at www.worldcastlepublishing.com.

"Damon Grant knows me. He can vouch for me as a doctor. I just want to see if I can help." It didn't matter really once he got back to the girl as she was lying in a pool of her own blood and unconscious.

Being homeless helped. Her friends around the streets helped her keep her secret but only until Cain stepped in. And no matter how hard she tried to fight him and his five sisters, the arrogant man got under her skin.
But when it was known that she wasn't homeless at all and in fact a billionaire, the grounds seemed to open with people trying to get to her. She would only escape one disaster only to be thrown into another. Until Quinn got hurt.
Roscoe wanted the girl's money and he was willing and quite capable of killing his own daughter to do so. Could she help save the girl and win the man? Did Cain stand a chance against all her money and his family?

Demons have invaded the magical world of Delve, and with everyone from the bubbling black swamps of Oblivion to the desolate wastes of Sandfall falling prey to possession, it's up to a fated few to battle the invaders back to the abyss.
When the immortal dragon-mage, Ellipsis, discovers this strange new threat to his kingdom, he races to the neighboring city to raise the alarm. Arriving much too late, Ellipsis walks right into the demons' trap and is forced to unleash his most devastating spell--one that tears a hole in the unseen veil that separates Delve from parallel world, Earth.
The gravedigger, Ben Lott, has problems of his own. He's grown tired of being alone. It's been ten years since a mysterious accident claimed the life of the woman he loved. Now, seconds before he plans to pull the trigger and be reunited with his lost love on the other side, a fiery explosion knocks him off his feet and sends him tumbling through space and time--delivering him into the hands of the demon-possessed knights of Delve.
Rescued by fate and recruited by Ellipsis, Ben follows a dark and dangerous road with new friends, a rekindled sense of purpose, and a second chance with the love he thought was lost long ago.
With the help of the famed bounty hunter, Eron Emerald, who can unravel illusions as easily as he can weave his own masterful deceptions, and a seemingly cold-blooded witch who hides more than just her magically enhanced eyes beneath the brim of her oversized steepled hat, the battle between good and evil is anyone's game. But in a world where everyone is keeping secrets and nothing's as it seems, these heroes will have to face their own demons before they can ever hope to defeat those that came from the abyss.

Interview with S. Evan Townsend
Sci-fi author S. Evan Townsend is with WR this week telling us about himself and his awesome novels! Drop a comment below for a chance to win an ebook of your choice!
WR: Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you write? Why?
S: I'm a 51 year old guy who lives in Washington State with his wife and two of my three sons. I have been writing since I was 12 years old (so that's going on 40 years). I need to write like I need to breathe. Even if I'm not hammering out a novel on the computer, I'm writing in my mind. My wife hates it because we'll be watching T.V. and I'll start re-writing the show we're watching. I write mostly speculative fiction, that is, science fiction and fantasy. That is the power of "what if?" Such as: "What if there were people with magical powers that got involved in recent history?"
WR: If you could be any one of your characters, who would you choose?
S: It would be Michael Vaughn from Agent of Artifice. He's handsome, debonair, and a powerful wizard (although I call them "adepts"). The lifestyle he lives in pre-revolutionary Havana is a lifestyle I would enjoy very much.
WR: What is your creative process like? Do you need music to write? Silence?
S: I write to the sound of my computer's cooling fan. I think music would make it harder to hear the voices in my head speak to me. My creative process is basically two-fold. There's the "think stage" or what I call "pre-writing" where I think about what I plan to write and then there's the writing stage, where I actually write it. And sometimes it goes in directions I never planned. Then there's re-writing, when I try to improve on what I wrote in step two.
WR: What is a guilty pleasure of yours?
S: I'm on a twelve step program to kick Starbucks. But since I haven't taken the first step, it's going slow. I tend to drive fast and have done so on a race track which is the most fun I've had with my clothes on. I guess my only other guilty pleasure would be watching Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel.
WR: What inspires you?
S: Movies, television, books I read (both fiction and non-fiction), the news, conversations with people, and my intrinsic need to educate people.
WR: What is one of your worst pet peeves?
S: People who drive too slow. Also books/movies/television shows that are more interested in selling their message than entertaining (unless the purpose of the book or movie or television show is to get a point across). Or, and writers who don't do research on their subjects.
WR: Describe what a perfect day would be for you.
S: Olivia Wilde wakes me up with a soft kiss and a plate of bacon. . . A perfect (realistic) day for me would be first a trip to Starbucks to get my daily allotment of 1,3,7-trimethyl-1H-purine-2,6(3H,7H)-dione 3,7-dihydro-1,3,7-trimethyl-1H-purine-2,6-dione (also known as caffeine) and run into friends to talk with. Then back to my office to do some writing, then some reading, and since the sun is shining, go for a drive just for the heck of it. Then maybe a nice dinner and watch a movie on Blu-Ray and cuddle into bed about 10.
WR: If you could bring any fictional character to life, yours or anyone else’s, who would you pick?
S: Gandalf. The combination of compassion, strength, power, humor, and hard headedness just amazes me. Maybe we could go on an adventure together even if it did make us late for dinner. Of my own characters, Charlie Jones, only because I'm a little bit in love with her.
WR: If you could shape-shift, what animal would you turn into and why?
S: An eagle because I always wanted to fly. I watch birds riding thermals and I get so jealous. I might have a bit of a problem eating raw mouse, however.
WR: Where can we find you and your work around the web?
S: I tweet at @SEvanTownsend

Interview with Jacqueline Corcoran
We have Jacqueline Corcoran here this week talking more about herself and her great writing! Drop a comment below and be entered to win a free pdf of her novel, A Month of Sundays!
WR: Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you write? Why?
J: I mainly write mysteries but also non-fiction. I like mysteries because of the puzzle and the plot, and that’s what I like reading. I’ve had the dream to be a writer since I was seven years old. I loved reading even then and hated turning off the light at night because I couldn’t read anymore.
WR: If you could be any one of your characters, who would you choose?
J: I am my characters already so I don’t have to choose!
WR: What is your creative process like? Do you need music to write? Silence?
J: I need silence, and I write long-hand first, then type it up later. I write a blurb, have a general idea and then go from there. In other words, I am a pantser and a result I get horribly stuck at times, which I find very frustrating until I can dig myself back out again. However, I finish everything I start even though I despair at times.
WR: What is a guilty pleasure of yours?
J: Popcorn and M and M’s, although I’m not guilty about it. I do a lot of reading about craft on writing blogs which sometimes interferes with my own writing.
WR: What inspires you?
J: Writing craft books and blogs.
WR: What is one of your worst pet peeves?
J: I have many of themJ In reading, mysteries written by men. I read primarily women authors.
WR: Describe what a perfect day would be for you.
J: A day when I know where I’m headed when I write and I have lots of plot ideas. The writing then just flows out of me, and I’m able to write 20 pages longhand.
WR: If you could bring any fictional character to life, yours or anyone else’s, who would you pick?
J: When I was a child, I would have picked any main character from one of the many characters I enjoyed then, but alas I’ve lost the magic now.
WR: If you could shape-shift, what animal would you turn into and why?
J: As above, unfortunately, I’ve lost the magic I had as a child and can’t go there.
WR: Where can we find you and your work around the web?

Interview with author Fran Lewis
WR: Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you write? Why?
FL: I was born in the South Bronx and grew up in a multi – ethnic neighborhood. Being overweight made it hard for me to join the other kids playing ball in the street and even sledding on snowy days. I got picked on a lot by the other kids and had to toughen up real fast and not allow myself to be bullied by the other kids. I learned at an early age that kids can really be mean and I never wanted to be mean and retaliate in return.
I graduated Hunter College with my BA in classical music and performance. I have a Masters in Education and one in Reading Disabilities. I have another Masters in Administration and Supervision and I worked in the NYC Public Schools for over 36 years. I was the Dean of Discipline and the Reading and Writing Staff Developer. I often consult with my former colleagues helping them write lesson plans and do research for their Master’s Degrees.
When I decided to write my short stories I realized that I had a lot to say about my youth and in both of my books I tell about a ten year old girl named Bertha who learns to deal with real life issues kids face today at home and in school. I am the author of three children's books that are all the online reseller's sites and currently waiting for my book Memories are Precious a book about my mom's journey with Alzheimer's to come out at the end of this month. I hope to raise money and awareness for a cure. Because We Care is dedicated to the memory of my sister who died last year from TBI and my mom from Alzheimer’s.
As a new member of Who’sWho of Cambridge’s Executives, Professionals and Educators I have been fortunate to meet many educators and authors throughout the world. I enjoy reviewing books for authors, upon request as well as reviewing books for ijustfinished.com, manic readers and Bookpleasures.com. I do reviews for authors upon request. I love reading what other author's write and my reviews are honest and open but I feel that every author deserves respect when reviewing their work. I pride myself on giving honest reviews and I always look for the positive in every book review.I am the host of Focus Discussions on Blog Talk Radio on the World of Ink. I host Book Discussions on Blog Talk Radio. My latest release is Faces Behind the Stones. I review for many major publishing companies and I have interviewed many NYTimes best selling authors.
WR: If you could be any one of your characters, who would you choose?
FL: I am one of my characters. I am Bertha. The characters in my children’s book are people in my family. I am Bertha. My sister Marcia is Tillie and the rest are family and friends. My sister, passed away last year and she provided a lot of the fuel for Tillie’s character. She thought this was great and we shared many fun times together and discussed each story and each event before I writing the book.
WR: What is your creative process like? Do you need music to write? Silence?
FL: I write directly on my computer. I never use an outline or have anything preplanned. I decide on the topic or main plot and I go from there. I can write with music or without. If it is music it has to be classical.
WR: What is a guilty pleasure of yours?
FL: My guilty pleasure is shopping. Whenever I need to take a break from reviewing books, the radio show or just writing and I do something special for myself by going shopping.
WR: What inspires you?
FL: I have been writing all of my life. As a reading and writing staff developer I worked with students that were reluctant writers and encouraged them to join me as I wrote along with them. I loved writing short stories and poems as a child and decided when I retired early from teaching to write my first children’s book. I was encouraged to write my first children’s book by my aunt and my third grade teacher who still remains a close family friend. I love sharing my real life experiences growing up and helping children that have been bullied, overweight and low self-esteem deal with these issues and more after reading my short stories. Just knowing that my reviews help another author really keeps me going and wanting to do more. I love sharing my ideas with others and what started out as a hobby turned into a second career. My aunt before she passed away told me to use my skills as a writing staff developer and educator to help kids deal with bullies and to create another avenue for my talents.
WR: What is one of your worst pet peeves?
FL: I really dislike anyone who gets impatient when someone does not understand what they are saying or a parent who loses control. I love kids and when I see parents yelling in the street or using their hands I cannot tolerate it.
WR: Describe what a perfect day would be for you.
FL: A perfect day is going for a morning walk, getting my oatmeal and decaf, spending the day at a museum or concert and going for an early dinner with my husband.
WR: If you could bring any fictional character to life, yours or anyone else’s, who would you pick?
FL: If I could bring any character to life and have a conversation with that character it would be Poirot. I love the way he figures out the evidence in a crime and his powers of deduction are great. Writing mystery thrillers I would love to talk with him to learn more about solving crimes and how he manages to foil the criminals every time. I would love to ask him how he develops his theories, can study the scene and know who did it. I would also love to bring back Perry Mason to get another perspective.
WR: If you could shape-shift, what animal would you turn into and why?
FL: I have been told that I have a strong personality and often can overtake just about anything or anyone that stands in my way of getting things done. I am also an advocate for the elderly after taking care of my mom for ten years. If I had to say I would probably either be dangerous python or cobra.
WR: Where can we find you and your work around the web?
FL: You can find all of my books on Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and all of the online resellers. You can find my reviews on bookpleasures, on my facebook page Fran Lewis’s reviews, mindseye, bookmarketing, ning, booktown and manic readers.
